The Master of Science Civil Engineering at Delft University of Technology is divided into tracks, one of which is Hydraulic Engineering. The general outline of the programmes of all seven specialisations contains four main constituents. These are: an ethics course, tracked-linked courses, special subjects (extra courses, an internship (CIE4040-09), a multidisciplinary project (CIE4061-09) or an additional thesis (CIE5050-09)) and a MSc thesis. This applies to all Civil Engineering master tracks.
Track-linked compulsory courses
The compulsory programme for each field within the Hydraulic Engineering track consists of two blocks of courses, a common block for all fields and a block of field-specific courses. The common block consists of five courses adding up to 24 EC. These courses are:

Specialisation-linked compulsory courses
For all fields, Coastal Engineering, Environmental Fluid Mechanics, River Engineering, Ports and Waterways, Dredging Engineering, Hydraulic Structures and Flood Risk respectively, the compulsory courses are stated below. These are taken from the MSc Hydraulic Engineering Prospectus and are prone to changes. For an up-to-date overview of the compulsory courses, we refer to the Brochure of 2020-2021. Please note that you should conform to the Brochure of the year that you first enrolled in the Master’s programme. If you any questions concerning this, please contact the Curriculum Coordinator at masterHE-CEG@tudelft.nl.
